About

Jason Cabel Roe has worked as a political and communications strategist for more than three decades and is nationally recognized for his work in campaigns and government advising candidates for President, Senate, Congress, Governor, state and local office, and free market interests.

A Washington veteran and former Executive Director of the Michigan Republican Party, Jason has worked on several presidential campaigns including National Media Spokesman for Marco Rubio in 2016, Deputy Campaign Manager for Mitt Romney in 2007, and political staff for Bob Dole in 1996.

Throughout his career he has managed nationally watched congressional races including Clinton House Impeachment Manager Jim Rogan in the historic battle against Adam Schiff in 2000, House Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s last race in 2004, and Illinois’ Peter Roskam surprise victory over Tammy Duckworth in 2006.

Jason was also the strategist for San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer in 2013 and 2016, winning 53% and 57% of the vote in a city with only 25% Republican registration, making Faulconer one of only two Republicans leading big cities in America.

In government, Jason served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Tom Feeney (FL), Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property James Rogan, and Communications Director for Congressman Nick Smith (MI). He’s also worked on the advance teams for Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Bush-Cheney 2000, Vice President Dick Cheney, and Rick Perry for President.

Jason has long been interested in global development and international democracy-building, serving as an International Election Observer for presidential elections in Nigeria and Liberia, training parliamentary candidates in Bulgaria, and traveling through Iraq in 2003 to develop the first comprehensive analysis of the emerging political parties after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime. He was a Manfred Woerner Fellow at the U.S. German Marshall Fund and worked as an advisor to the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition for more than a decade. Jason also served on the communications staff of the G8 Summit at Sea Island, Georgia, in 2004.

Over his career, Jason has won dozens of Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants, in addition to being named Top Political Consultant in San Diego by Our City Magazine, a Rising Star by Campaigns & Elections, Most Effective Staffers on Capitol Hill by The Hill, and receiving a Goldie All-Star Peer Choice Award. His proudest accomplishment, however, is being named Worst Person in the World by Keith Olbermann.

A graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Public Administration and Economics, Jason lives in the Detroit area with his wife and son.
